Dr. Kumar is a Board Certified Pediatrician who is a strong advocate for her Pediatric patients, and will provide the highest quality of care possible. Dr. Kumar came to the US as a young child and grew up in warm and sunny California. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from University of California, Irvine and received her Medical Degree from American University of the Caribbean. She attended UMDNJ-NJ Medical School for Pediatric Internship and completed her Pediatric residency at Cedar’s Sinai Medical Center in 2005. She worked at South Bay Family Health Care in Los Angeles, CA, providing services for the under-served until 2009. She, then, relocated to the Atlanta area and provided pediatric care in the Cumming and Johns Creek areas.
Dr. Kumar founded Meadow Pediatrics in 2012 to provide customized and comprehensive care. She is on staff at Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Northside Forsyth Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. She has a special interest in the management of childhood obesity, asthma and newborn care. Currently, she is Chief of Pediatrics at Emory Johns Creek.
In her free time, Dr. Kumar enjoys cooking, baking, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family. She also volunteers her time at Atlanta Charity Medical Clinic (ACMC) and has been a sideline doctor for Alpharetta Tamil School for many years.
